Majuro District Convention

Our Ailon eo an Anij District Convention was a huge success, despite some worries the Friday before which we were supposed to get in and clean but their was a political event going on which went into midnight. So their was lots of concern about how it would look in the morning. On Friday they did allow us in around 5pm but could only set up some chairs and the stage. When they did allow us to go in they enforced a dress code, the sisters could only where skirts and the brothers had to where dress pants and a nice shirt and NO one was allowed in the building unless they were wearing these cloths. Saturday morning had arrived and the power went out at 5am and it was pouring which makes it very difficult for many many of the brothers and sisters. Jehovah no doubt blessed their efforts because on Saturday we had the Ruth sound drama, which was the only the 2nd time it has been given here in Marshallese and the new brochure Listen to God" or, ilo Kajin Majel, "Ronjake Anij" released in Marshallese. The day was full of many experiences and tears. Levi also had a interview on the program he talked about the different projects we have been on and also how hard it is to leave so many close friends we have at home but also how wonderful it is to make more new one. On Sunday we had our peak attendance of 380 which is wonderful especially since their are only 180 publishers on Majuro. The Young People Ask was released along with the new DVD in English. Which is still very beneficial especially for the young ones because many young ones speak English. Through out the day we saw many reading their new books. Beautiful!!!!! Also for the first time EVER the brother and sisters of the Marshall Islands were able to view a Drama. The modern day drama about the family was recorded in Guam then went to Hawaii to be translated and recorded. What a blessing it was their was not a dry eye. The Drama was also played in Chuuk . What a great and encouraging convention!

The Drama

On Monday our house was very quite because everyone had the day off. YAHOOOOO!! I slept in as long as possible till Tanya called which was a treat to wake up to :). Levi he had the best day ever, he woke up at 4:30 am and watched football ALLL DAY long. He truly had a grin from ear to ear.
